Over the past two months or so, various claims coming out of Italy have stated Juventus are set to face competition from Liverpool to sign Atalanta star Teun Koopmeiners.
The Reds have been presented as tough competition to the Serie A side, but that may no longer be the case.
That’s according to Tuttosport, who explain that Liverpool could be an ally to help the Old Lady sign the 26-year-old.
In recent months, Liverpool had sent their officials to keep an eye on the Dutchman live in action for La Dea.
When closely monitoring Koopmeiners, the Merseyside club also noticed his teammate, Éderson, who has impressed for the Europa League winners this season.
Operating mainly in the middle of the pitch and at times as a defensive midfielder, the 24-year-old Brazilian has made 52 appearances. His performances for the Italian club have ‘impressed and bewitched’ the Liverpool representatives.
Éderson seems to have convinced the Premier League side as Tuttosport state they are ‘now planning an attack’ to sign him in the summer window. This should please Juve, who won’t have to worry about competition from the Reds in their pursuit of Koopmeiners.
