Leeds United are once again making moves in the transfer market, as the club seek to help Jesse Marsch navigate them away from relegation danger.
After reports over the weekend about an offer being submitted for Azzedine Ounahi, L’Equipe show up with their take on the situation.
In their Monday edition, the French newspaper state Leeds United are moving ‘concretely’ for the Angers player and have made efforts in recent days.
The Whites are said to have offered €25m, and the report says this is more than €15m from Napoli and the €10m limit Almeria have set.
However, the problem for the Premier League club is that they don’t have the player’s ‘preference’. According to L’Equipe, Ounahi is ‘not excited’ about a move to Elland Road.
L’Equipe don’t make it clear, but it’s presumably a move to Napoli which is tempting the player.
They’re currently seven points clear at the top of Serie A, with Almeria in a similar situation in La Liga to what Leeds United are in the Premier League.
