Leeds United have now reached a ‘total agreement’ with Hoffenheim for forward Georginio Rutter, with announcements already prepared by both sides.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenburg, who says that following a ‘hard poker’ yesterday about the financial details of the move there is now an agreement between the two clubs.
Rutter has been linked with a move to Leeds over the last week, with Jesse Marsch keen to continue spending to strengthen his squad this month.
A deal has slowly been developing over the last few days, and for a package that could be worth between €30m-40m, but Plettenburg says the total package would be for the latter figure.
He will sign a contract until 2028 at Elland Road and both Leeds and Hoffenheim have already prepared ‘announcements’ for the transfer.
That would suggest the deal is now in the final stages and the Whites will be announcing their latest signing sooner rather than later.
