This week, the Italian media had been claiming that Salernitana are having a hard time to find a deal with Leeds United for the transfer of Leo Fuhr Hjelde.
The Serie A side’s idea is to sign him on a loan deal, while the Whites would insist on making €2m on an outright sale.
Now as LiraTV comes up with an update, they say Leeds ‘seem to have convinced themselves’ to let Hjelde go.
Salernitana are very much focused on signing the 19-year-old, as believe he can have the place as a left-back but could also do the job as a centre-back.
The update doesn’t make it clear whether Leeds will now be on board for the loan operation.
It’s just said that the Whites are more decided to let Hjelde leave, and it sounds like that will help the Serie A side to get any kind of deal they want.
The English defender only had 90 minutes played for the Whites this season and doesn’t seem to be in the club’s plans. His contract runs until 2025, and by wanting a sale, the Elland Road side apparently don’t want him back next year.
