Leroy Sane is increasingly becoming an important player for Manchester City, and the young German international looks to have a big future ahead of him both at club and national level.
With the backing and support of both Pep Guardiola and Joachim Low, Sane is progressing at a rate which would be expected for his talent. The 21 year old is already effective in the Premier League and hasn’t needed a settling in season to show he has the talent to succeed in English football.
There’s excitement in Germany at the attacker’s potential and the further progress he’s expected to make under Guardiola. German newspaper Bild managed a few words with the Manchester City player and of course the conversation turned to the influence of Sane’s club manager: “It’s a lot of fun to work with him. He expects very much from everyone. But that also takes every single player forward. He has improved me in all areas.”
That will be what the German newspaper were expecting to hear about Guardiola, given many players have said the same previously.
Sane now wants to push ahead with his Germany career and become a crucial player for the national side: “I want to prove myself now and show that I would like to be there permanently. I have definitely taken a step forward and further developed. This is also evident from the fact that I play at Manchester right from the start. Of course, I’ve also collected a lot of experience.”
