Pedro Neto is set to sign for Chelsea in the very near future unless there’s unexpected problems as his exit from Wolves is finalised.
O Jogo reported earlier that Neto is set to have a medical with the Blues, having agreed to the transfer. Wolves will be receiving €60m for Neto, plus a potential further €3m in bonus payments.
That may see them enter the market to try and get a replacement, and O Jogo report they’re already making moves.
According to the Portuguese newspaper, Wolves have made contact with Ajax regardng signing Carlos Forbs. The 20-year-old moved to Ajax is 2023, having been with Manchester City’s youth system since 2015. Before that he had a short training spell with Sporting CP.
O Jogo say that after the initial contact, Wolves believe Ajax are asking for too much, but there’s no figure put to that. The way it’s presented it doesn’t appear to be the end of the matter.
Forbs is represented by PSC Sports.
Last season the winger got just over 800 minutes in the Eredivisie, scoring two goals and contributing four assists.
