Alexis Mac Allister has no plans to leave Liverpool in the near future.

That’s according to the midfielder’s father, Carlos Mac Allister, and he revealed this during a chat with Picado TV’s Fernando Niembro and Bolavip have relayed his comments.

Mac Allister Sr. discussed several topics about the Liverpool player, including his move to Anfield in June 2023 and about his future.

The Argentina international arrived in Europe when Brighton & Hove Albion signed him from Argentinos Juniors in January 2019. His development at The Amex helped him make debut and cement his place in the national team.

It also paved way for the 26-year-old to make a switch to Liverpool, when Jürgen Klopp was in charge. Alexis has continued to retain his place at the Reds’ starting lineup under Arne Slot and has a contract until 2028.

Niembro asked the player’s father whether it’s possible for him to leave the Reds anytime soon. When responding to that, Carlos explained why his son will continue at Liverpool.

“For now, I don’t think so. Time will tell,” he said. “Alexis is very happy where he is. He lives in Manchester, and on the same block as Robertson, Gomez, and four blocks away is Licha Martínez,” he said.

“Alexis speaks English well, understands the rules of the game, and converses with people. I think it’s been the best thing he’s done, and that’s why the adaptation was easier.”

Alexis Mac Allister played 3,262 minutes from 44 games this season and managed six goals and four assists in the process.
