Lyon’s Moussa Dembélé is of ‘particular interest’ to Everton, according to Jeunes Footeux.
The forward has scored three goals and registered one assist from 26 games this season, and has a deal expiring in June. He lost prominence after Laurent Blanc was appointed as the Ligue1 side’s manager last December.
Dembélé’s departure is certain in the summer after he made the decision not to sign a new deal at Lyon. As it stands, the 26-year-old has not made a decision on his next club. Everton are included in the list of options.
Even though the ex-Celtic man’s name is on the agenda of other English clubs, the player is of ‘particular interest’ to the Toffees. They already wanted him in January and despite the failure, Everton ‘didn’t give up’ the idea of securing his services in the summer.
In order to acquire the attacker’s signature, a four-year deal worth €5m per year ‘awaits’ him at Everton. This would be valid only if the Merseyside club continue in the Premier League next season.
Sean Dyche’s side are 15th in the table with 27 points, one point ahead of 18th placed Leeds United, who have a game in hand.
