A 1-0 win over AFC Bournemouth on Sunday helped Everton avoid relegation from the Premier League, something which will shape their summer.

The Toffees can now start focusing on their transfer business so that they can avoid finding themselves in another relegation battle next season.

Everton have set their sights on RB Leipzig’s Tom Krauß, according to Sky Deutschland.

The 21-year-old came up through the ranks of the Bundesliga side’s youth system and has been out on loan since 2020.

Schalke took him on loan for the 2022/23 season, where he managed two goals from 33 games. They had a conditional obligation to buy, which wasn’t exercised after they were relegated from the top flight.

The midfielder is unlikely to find regular space at Leipzig next season. Therefore, he has ‘no future’ at his parent club, who are ready to sanction his sale for a fee between €5m and €7m in the upcoming window.

Krauß has drawn interest from Everton, and they will have to battle it out with Borussia Mönchengladbach and Mainz to secure his services.

Sean Dyche’s side are in line for a cheap deal in the summer, as long as they can convince the player for the transfer.
