On Tuesday, Tutto Salernitana reported Salernitana are trying to sign Leeds United’s Leo Hjelde on a loan deal while the Whites want to sell him for €2m.
Later that day, LiraTV explained that Daniel Farke’s side seem to have convinced themselves that letting go of the 19-year-old ir the right way forward, without mentioning the transfer formula.
Tutto Salernitana state Salernitana sporting director Morgan De Sanctis is ‘trying to close’ two deals, including that of the Leeds player.
The Serie A side have followed the left-back for several weeks and could make an attempt to secure his services. He will provide cover to Domagoj Bradarić for the left-back position and can also be used as a centre-back.
Over at Solo Salerno, they state the Norway U19 international is still the main target for Salernitana to bolster their defence.
The Leeds defender’s versatility would make him an ideal profile for the Italian club. It’s said De Sanctis’ idea is to sign the youngster on a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.
Solo Salerno state ‘developments are expected in the next few hours’ in the deal to take Hjelde to Salernitana.
