Sporting goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević could be on his way to Norwich City in the coning days.
That’s according to Monday’s edition of O Jogo, who cover Norwich City interest and Sporting’s stance.
The 27-year-old left Raków Częstochowa for Sporting in June 2024 and has played 10 games for the Portuguese champions. Due to his limited role, they sent him on loan to Legia Warsaw in January.
Sporting manager Rui Borges will leave the stopper out of his plans for next season and the Lions are keen on parting ways with him permanently. Norwich City could be his next club.
The Canaries have been interested in the Bosnian and the negotiations have progressed over the past few days. There’s optimism around the transfer and Norwich City is now seen as a likely destination.
According to O Jogo, Sporting paid €4.8m to buy him and his valuation has decreased. There’s no mention of their request or his current market value.
The Primeira Liga winners are looking to recover part of the investment made, meaning the Championship club can likely sign Kovačević for less than €4.8m.
