Marcus Rashford was again not part of Manchester United’s squad for their Boxing Day fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It was the third consecutive league game in which the player hasn’t been in involved and the situation with the 27-year-old doesn’t seem to be changing.
Amidst talk of an exit from Old Trafford, an update has emerged about Rashford’s future, after Napoli were linked with a move for him some days ago.
Il Mattino report today the forward’s move to the Italian club is rather ‘impossible’, even with Manchester United trying to offload him through various intermediaries.
The indiciation is that Napoli were offered the forward, but they will not sign the player anytime soon. Rashford’s wage demands of about €15m are also a major problem for Antonio Conte’s side, who signed Scott McTominay in the summer transfer window.
The report does suggest Manchester United are actively trying to move Rashford on and it will not be a surprise if a solution is found in the near future.
