For many weeks, Everton’s Beto has been a major figure in the Italian rumour mill ahead of January.
Yesterday, the Portuguese striker was linked with a move to Torino, who have apparently already started making moves for Beto.
This came right after he’d made his first Premier League start for Everton this season, against Manchester United.
Gazzetta dello Sport have now reported about Roma’s interest in the 26-year-old.
The report all but confirms the Giallorossi liking Beto but state that the club’s January move for him depends on sales.
Claudio Ranieri wants a striker to make sure that Artem Dovbyk has competition and the Everton man is seen as the option who can be an effective alternative to the Ukraine international.
The feeling is that the ‘Friedkins would play at home’ in this case because they own the Toffees and the Giallorossi and this could hand them an advantage.
