Bayern Munich ‘want to get in touch again’ with Tottenham star Harry Kane about a move in the summer transfer window if he doesn’t renew in London, but are yet to speak to him this year.
That’s according to BILD’s Bayern Insider podcast, relayed by Fussball Transfers, who say the German giants are ‘concerned’ that Kane does not want to leave England.
The Tottenham striker is set to enter the final year of his contract in the summer and is yet to agree a new deal to extend his stay at Spurs beyond next year.
That means they may be forced to sell him this summer and he has subsequently been linked with several major clubs in Europe, including Bayern Munich, who are still on the hunt for a successor to Robert Lewandowski.
They’ve been interested in Kane for a while and, according to Bayern Insider, ‘want to get in touch again’ about a possible transfer.
According to their information those in charge at the Allianz Arena are ‘concerned’ that Kane does not want to leave England if he does depart Tottenham this summer.
That would, therefore, hand an advantage to Manchester United but a major stumbling block is the fact that Tottenham ‘would be very reluctant’ to sell to another team in the Premier League.
Thus, there is something of a stalemate at this moment in time, but Bayern have not given up yet and intend to speak to the player at some point in the coming months.
Contact with Kane ‘has not yet happened’ this year, though, despite increasing reports of them eyeing up Tottenham’s record goal scorer for the summer.
