It appears that AC Milan are trying to squeeze every ounce of money out of Newcastle United, whether it be future or present, for Sandro Tonali.
Not only are they getting close to €80m for the midfielder, who is expected to complete his switch to the Magpies soon, but they are also set to make money down the line too.
That’s according to Milan News, who reveal in an exclusive that on top of the aforementioned fee, that includes bonuses, the Serie A side will get a ‘percentage on a future resale’.
Therefore, a chunk of whatever Newcastle make from a sale down the line will also go to the Italian club.
What that percentage is isn’t stated, but it’s explained that the exact amount of the transfer ‘will be found from the future financial statements’ that will be published in the future by Milan.
As for when the deal will be completed, they reckon the signatures and the official announcement from both clubs are ‘expected in the coming days’.
At this point, it’s fair to say that unless something surprising happens in the coming days, like the player changing his mind, this is considered a done deal.
