Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud continues to be linked to Italian clubs, especially with the little playing time he’s getting this season.
This time, it’s website Calcio Mercato who brings a story saying Inter Milan should soon make a new attempt to get the Frenchman.
They claim the Nerazzurri have been chasing him in the last two transfer windows, and given their need for a new centre-forward, they would try again in January.
Now Giroud is seen as a ‘low-cost signing’, since his contract with Chelsea expires in the summer.
Even though Inter Milan could obviously get him for free at the end of his contract, Calcio Mercato makes it sound more likely they’d try to get him on a low fee to have him in the second part of this season.
They highlight the fact he hasn’t been used much by Frank Lampard, and that’s another argument why Chelsea wouldn’t make his departure very difficult.
Giroud has only played 154 minutes in six appearances for the Blues this season.
