On summer transfer deadline day, several claims had stated that RC Strasbourg agreed a deal with Chelsea for Deivid Washington. The deal didn’t take shape, and the 19-year-old is still at the Premier League side.
Globo Esporte state Flamengo are trying to sign the Chelsea player on a loan deal. They have to act quickly as the window in Brazil closes later today.
The forward joined Chelsea from Santos in August 2023 and was limited to 25 minutes from three games last season. Enzo Maresca hasn’t included him in the squad this season.
This claim is relayed by PL Brasil, who then provide their own take on this case. Their title says ‘Chelsea deny Flamengo’s proposal for Brazilian jewel’.
It’s to be noted noting that Globo made mention of a proposal from Flamengo. Within the report, it’s claimed the west London club have denied Flamengo’s approach to try and sign the youngster on a loan deal.
Chelsea have no plans to send their player to Brazil as they believe ‘it’s not favourable for his development’. PL Brasil add the Blues are ‘still exploring’ options for Washington in Europe, where the window is still open.
