On May 22nd, Jhon Durán’s agent Jonathan Herrera said that Chelsea are interested in the Aston Villa player. He had also stated that a potential deal wouldn’t depend on Mauricio Pochettino’s future.
Since then, the Blues have parted ways with Pochettino and appointed Enzo Maresca as their new manager.

Chelsea have taken concrete steps in their pursuit of the striker, according to Colombian journalist Guillermo Arango.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that the west London club have an agreement in place with the Villans for a fee close to €50m.
Arango adds Chelsea are negotiating personal terms with the 20-year-old. If the parties were to come to an agreement, then the Colombia international would move to Stamford Bridge.
