Celtic have set their sights on FC Lausanne-Sport’s Alvyn Sanches and could try to secure him for Brendan Rodgers.
That’s according to Fussball Transfers, who say Celtic are keen on signing the midfielder this summer.
As well as Celtic, clubs from England, France and Belgium have made approaches to try and sign the 21-year-old. The details of these sides aren’t mentioned.
It’s claimed a move to Celtic Park would ‘appeal’ to the player and the Scottish champions’ chances of securing his services are ‘not bad’.
The Switzerland U21 international has less than two years left on his contract. The report says he’s currently valued at €5m, without specifying whether Celtic are willing to pay this figure.
This report was covered by journalist Dominik Schneider. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to add that Celtic are ‘showing concrete interest’ in Sanches.
He says it’s possible for the midfielder to leave in this window for a fee of around €5-6m.
Last season, Sanches was mainly used in the middle of the pitch, and also operated as an attacking midfielder and a centre forward. He managed six goals from 27 games and has made four appearances this season.
