According to a claim in the Turkish media, Brighton & Hove Albion are looking to finalise a deal for Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu in the coming days.
The Turkey international has been heavily linked with a move to the Seagulls in recent weeks after he impressed during this summer’s Euros.
Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has reported on the latest developments regarding Brighton’s pursuit for Kadıoğlu and he says the Premier League side are working with the player’s agent to speed things up. It seems Brighton are becoming frustrated in their attempts to sign the left bank and they want a deal doing this week.
Last week it reported the English club had made an offer in the region of €35m, which would be a transfer record for a player being bought from the Turkish Super Lig.
Kadıoğlu made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce last season, scoring 3 goals. He’s contracted to the Istanbul club until June 2026.
