Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Marco Asensio’s situation at Real Madrid.

The winger’s contract expires in June and his future at the club ‘is in danger’, according to Sport. It’s further claimed there are clubs, including Arsenal, asking if the 27-year-old plans to leave Los Blancos as a free agent.

The Spain international’s renewal talks with Real Madrid were on track before he lost prominence in recent weeks.

Arsenal and AC Milan have spoken to Asensio’s entourage and they would be ‘willing to bid’ to sign him for free in the summer. Barcelona are also in the mix and are being informed of everything that’s happening with his negotiations with Real Madrid.

At the moment, none of them have taken concrete steps. Barcelona are aware the player would be open to listening to their proposal.

He’s considered as a market opportunity, but the Blaugrana will have to battle it out with the Gunners and the Serie A side for Asensio’s signature.

This report comes a day after Estadio Deportivo stated a move to Arsenal or Milan would be perfect for the Spaniard in the next window.

Asensio has and five assists from 31 matches in all competitions this season.
