Arsenal’s interest in Porto winger Pepê is a rumour which has been around for a long time, and it suddenly had a couple of updates.
On Wednesday, we saw the Brazilian media claiming that the 26-year-old’s entourage has a €50m offer in hand, and there’s a chance this bid came from the Gunners.
Now as the Portuguese media talks about his future, newspaper A Bola comes up to say that Arsenal will need more to sign him from Porto.
The outlet writes that Pepê is only being sold by the Dragons this summer for the price of his release clause, which stands at €75m.
It’s recalled that he’s been linked to the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal many times, and it’s indeed one of his ‘objectives’ to get a move to the Premier League, even though he’s also followed by Spanish, German, Italian and French clubs.
A Bola adds that Porto need to make at least €50m with players in the next transfer window, and the Brazilian is one of their main assets for that.
