Brighton and Hove Albion secure the signing of Mohamed Dahoud this summer as their project under Roberto de Zerbi “made its way into the player’s heart”.
That’s according to his agent, Andrea Pellegatti, who has been speaking to Sport Italia regarding his various clients, including the Brighton midfielder.
Dahoud joined the Seagulls on a free transfer this summer after leaving Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer at the end of last season.
The midfielder has made an immediate impact on the south coast, establishing himself as a first-team regular following the departures of Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister.
They, though, are very much a club who are on the rise thanks to manager Roberto de Zerbi, who has been impressing since his arrival to replace Graham Potter last year.
Since then, Brighton have become one of the most attractive clubs in Europe, and Dahoud’s agent states that the project was what lured his client.
“He left Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer and had several clubs interested,” he said.
“We gave priority to Brighton because he is a quality and proactive player. A project like that of this team, with De Zerbi, has made its way into the player’s heart.
“He has found a philosophy suited to his skills and technical qualities. On Saturday against United he started; he is finding his form after a difficult period.
“He is finding continuity compared to the championship where he previously played. A very positive context as we have seen for other players who are exploding under the coach’s wing.”
