Arsenal could be an option for Atlético Madrid’s João Félix in the winter market, according to a claim from Spain.

Two days ago, the Gunners confirmed Gabriel Jesus underwent knee surgery after picking up an injury while with Brazil at the 2022 World Cup.

Jesus is set to be on the sidelines for three months and his absence may force Arsenal to bring in another attacker in January.

The La Liga side’s CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, revealed that Félix is unhappy and wants to change clubs in the next window.

AS state Los Rojiblancos have resigned themselves to losing the Portugal international, and his agent, Jorge Mendes, is looking for a new destination for his client. Atlético, however, will not let the ex-Benfica star go out for less than €100m.

After naming the clubs that are looking to sign the forward, the newspaper mentions Arsenal.

It’s said ‘another path that can be opened’ for Mendes and his client is the north London club because of Jesus’ latest setback.

It remains to seen whether Arsenal would be willing to entertain Mendes and his desire to find Félix a new club.
