As Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport today writes about the players who could move from England to Serie A, there’s an interesting mention to Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
The Red Devils may be struggling to find a Premier League club who want to afford his signing this summer, and he actually may have several options elsewhere.
The report calls Maguire a ‘respectable defender’, even at 30, and claims that the Manchester United defender has ‘been approached’ by several Serie A sides lately.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United ‘could consider’ the ‘classic’ operation done by Italian clubs, which is the usual loan with a right to buy.
Maguire’s contract with the Red Devils runs until 2025. Last season, he made 31 appearances for the club, and recently lost the captain armband.
Despite costing Manchester United €87m back in 2019, he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €20m.
