Manchester United may be about to finish another disappointing season, but the club’s old glories still seem enough to draw the admiration from many football players.

Senegalese outlet Senego today features a story about Paul Valére Basséne, who currently plays for RS Berkane in Morocco and wants a move to the Red Devils.

Speaking to Wiwsport, the striker explained his love for Manchester United and made his ambitions very clear.

“First of all, we’ll be aiming to finish third in the league and win the CAF Cup. I also want to add more goals to my career. Manchester United is the European club I want to play for in the future.”

Featuring for Berkane this season, 23-year-old Basséne has five goals in 19 appearances.

With the win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend, Manchester United finished 8th in the Premier League, and won’t be taking part in any European competition next season.

The Red Devils are expected to have big changes in the dressing room this summer, but those should only take place after the FA Cup final against Manchester City on Saturday.

Basséne will surely be keeping an eye on the rumour mill, with some hope that Manchester United may be watching him in Morocco.

At this stage, that’s a long shot and he probably needs a few more years of success ahead of him, and to climb a few rungs on the ladder first.
