Throughout this summer we’ve brought you various updates on the situation surrounding Watford youngster Cucho Hernández.
The striker spent the last two seasons out on loan at Huesca but left the Spanish club this summer and was looking to make a move upwards.
That’s yet to happen, though, with the 20-year-old seemingly running out of options as Europe’s transfer deadline edges closer.
The situation has received a lot of attention in Colombia recently, and they’re quite frankly astounded that he’s failed to find himself a club so far.
Bola Vip say it is ‘difficult to believe’ a player of Hernández’s talent hasn’t found himself club yet and say the biggest issue is for the Colombian National Team.
Hernández is a player the national side have big hopes for and is almost a shoo-in to be part of the squad taking part in the U20 Olympics. However, a season playing in the reserves for Watford means he won’t be at his usual level.
ComuTricolor take the same stance and say the situation is worrying Colombians.
Their biggest concern is about his fitness and sharpness, although it’s also stated the biggest negative is that Hernández is likely to miss any upcoming friendlies for Colombia as they’re not sure what club they should contact to call him up.
In terms of a move, BolaVip say his best chances remain in Spain, but ComuTricolor insist there has been nothing concrete.
They’re slightly annoyed, saying that any potential links always come from ‘media that have no basis and a lot of speculation.’
It’s clear the whole situation is causing a bit of panic back in Colombia, and unless there’s a drastic change in the coming days, both Hernández and El Tricolor could end up suffering.
