Robin Pröpper arrived at Rangers in the summer window and made 12 appearances in all competitions for Philippe Clement’s side this season.

On Monday, the defender told Voetbal Primeur about the rotation frustration at Rangers and the style of play in Scotland.

The Dutch outlet have published a second part of the interview with the Rangers player, where he opens up about his decision to change clubs in the summer and the challenges at Ibrox.

Pröpper spent his playing career in the Netherlands at De Graafschap, Heracles Almelo and FC Twente before joining Rangers.

The Dutchman has revealed his desire to experience football outside his country was one of the reasons he left the Eredivisie side for the Scottish club in August. The centre-back told Voetbal Primeur that he has settled into his new life in Glasgow.

“I wanted an adventure for once, then surely this is a great club to join? Besides, it’s a nice area, with lots of nature and all kinds of things to do for the family,” he said.

“In my free time, I mainly go into the parks with the kids, cycling and playing football. Glasgow is a beautiful football city, which as a football fan I would definitely take a trip to see.”

Philippe Clement’s side are currently third in the table, behind league leaders Celtic and Aberdeen. The defender has talked about the challenges at Rangers, something that he didn’t experience at his former clubs.

“Rangers are really a top club, here you basically have to win every match. At FC Twente you could still afford to make a slip against the top three, but not here. That creates a certain pressure, but that also makes it fun,” Pröpper explained.

The defender’s immediate focus will be on the Europa League fixture against OGC Nice on Friday.
