Manchester United and Liverpool are looking to sign Atalanta’s Éderson in the winter market, according to a report from Italy.
Towards the end of the summer window, the Serie A side reportedly turned down the Red Devils’ offer for the midfielder. Back in September, TNT Sports in Brazil stated Manchester United will continue to chase him.
On November 6th, Corriere dello Sport stated Liverpool have been working to sign the 25-year-old for several months.
Italian journalist Rudy Galetti took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest on the Premier League duo.
According to him, both Manchester United and Liverpool have recently contacted the player’s entourage to ‘explore the negotiation’ for January. In addition to these two clubs, Galetti says Manchester City are also in the race to sign the Brazil international.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side aren’t considering letting the star leave in the next window but could evaluate offers over €50m next summer. With multiple clubs trying to sign Éderson, there could be a battle for him at the end of this season.
The South American made 18 appearances for the Europa League winners this season.
