If there’s one area that Eintracht Frankfurt have been very good at of late, it’s getting players in for small fees and helping them shine in the Bundesliga and in Europe.

Last season’s Europa League winners have Ben Manga to thank for that, as the 48-year-old is their current Director of Professional Football.

Not for long, though, as Watford appear to have poached him from the Bundesliga side, as they look to get back to the Premier League.

That’s according to Florian Plettenburg, who took to Twitter to reveal the news on Monday afternoon.

Following a claim of his that Manga was ‘set to leave’ Eintracht at the end of this year, it was explained the chief wanted to ‘join a club in England’ to become their new ‘Sporting Director’.

It wasn’t said who, but the Sky Germany journalist now makes it clear saying ‘Yes, it’s Watford!’.

Manga has brought in players like Randall Kolo-Muani, Aurélio Buta, Rafael Borré and co. over the years, and Watford will be hoping he can replicate that at Vicarage Road.

It’s not exactly explained when Manga will be taking over at Watford, but Monday morning, Plettenburg said ‘talks ongoing’, suggesting some sort of agreement could be reached in the coming days.
