In the past couple of days, we’ve seen stories from the Spanish and the English media regarding a potential swap between Barcelona and Wolverhampton Wanderers next summer.

With the Catalan side willing to keep Adama Traore and the Molineux club potentially keeping Francisco Trincão, it’s been said they could line up an agreement to make everyone happy.

Now since Wolves have also been linked to Benfica winger Rafa Silva in the past week, we get to see a story from the Portuguese press saying that such a scenario could harm their chase for the Eagles’ star.

In a story from Record, it’s said the Premier League’s side interest in Trincão could ‘complicate’ the club’s pursuit for Rafa Silva.

It’s also said Wolves believe Benfica are demanding too much for the winger, as in the last summer window, the Eagles set a price of €50m for his sale.

Rafa Silva is having another great season for Benfica this year, with 11 goals and 17 assists for the club. It’s been recently reported by the Portuguese media that the player was ‘receptive’ to a move to the Premier League, as English football is ‘to his liking’.

He’s protected by a release clause worth €60m, and it seems Wolves would need to get close to that to convince the Eagles of a sale.
