Wolverhampton Wanderers’ interest in Racing midfielder Carlos Alcaraz is now backed up by the Italian media.

It was first the Argentine press who talked about Wolves interest in the player. On Thursday, they even named the Molineux side as the main competitors for Milan in the battle for the signing.

It was claimed that the Rossoneri indicated they can pay as much as €15m for the transfer, but since the proposal is still to be placed, Wolves are still in the competition.

Now it turns out that as FC Inter News talks about Alcaraz, they bring a mention of the English interest as well.

The website claims there’s a ‘serious and concrete new suitor’ for the player, and that’s Wolves. It’s claimed the Molineux side already got in touch with the midfielder’s staff for an ‘in-depth request for information’.

FC Inter News also points out it’s ‘not a coincidence’ that the player’s representatives had been in England a few weeks ago. That’s why the Premier League side are now considered strong contenders for the 19-year-old, while Racing will only let him go in the face of a ‘great offer’.
