Marseille are targeting multiple attackers at the moment, with the Ligue 1 side wanting to bring in some more threat to their forward line.

They had been close to a deal for Mason Greenwood, but then Marseille’s mayor voiced very strong opposition to the transfer and that appeared to be that.

Another option they have is Wolves’ Hwang Hee-chan.

FootMercato report Marseille have actually made an offer to the Premier League club, only to see their initial effort knocked back. According to the report, the French side put forward €20m, but that’s not deemed enough by Wolves.

The player himself is said to be keen on the move to Marseille, and has told his management that it’s the only move he wants at this moment in time.

Hwang Hee-chan has also reached a ‘contractual agreement’ with the Ligue 1 club, so the personal side of finances looks all agreed.

Now Marseille will have to come up with an offer which pleases Gary O’Neil’s side. What that will need to be isn’t mentioned by FootMercato.
