With Adama Traore leaving Wolverhampton Wanderers as a free agent this summer, it seems he could be heading back to his home country.

Earlier on Wednesday, journalist Samuel Silva reported that Real Betis made an offer to sign the winger this summer.

Now as Estadio Deportivo covers the news, it’s said that agent Jorge Mendes has a very important role in this switch from Wolves to the La Liga side.

It’s said the representative is in ‘permanent contact’ with Betis, especially because he’s already dealing with them for the transfer of Raul Garcia to a Premier League side.

That’s why it’s ‘no coincidence’ that Traore is now heavily linked with the Spanish club, even though he didn’t use to be one of their priorities.

The winger had three goals and two assists in 40 appearances in his last season for Wolves, and had been linked to multiple sides in the past few weeks.

With Jorge Mendes and Gestifute still having big influence in the transfer market, it seems Traore’s potential move to Betis could just part of a bigger plan the agent has.
