According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are still showing interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Mario Lemina.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a return to the Super Lig leaders following his loan spell with them during the 2019/20 season.
Due to an injury to summer signing Gabriel Sara, Galatasaray are keen to sign Lemina, who can also provide back up to Lucas Torreia.
Fotospor today report on the latest developments regarding Galatasaray’s pursuit for the Wolves player and they say the Istanbul side are not prepared to pay the €4m asking price.
It’s claimed Galatasaray’s hierarchy aren’t prepared to part with such money given there’s a chance they could sign him on a free transfer this summer.
Wolves have the option to extend Lemina’s contract for another season, but given the issues they’ve had with the central midfielder in recent weeks this hasn’t yet been activated. And Turkish clubs like to ignore that sort of thing anyway.
The Turkish media outlet also say Lemina wants the move to Istanbul, but with Wolves demanding such a transfer fee a switch looks complicated at this stage.
Lemina has made 18 appearances for Wolves this season, scoring one goal.
