West Ham striker Simone Zaza is reportedly accepting to lower his wages as his move to La Liga side Valencia CF edges closer. The information was published by AS today.

The striker is reportedly earning €3.5m net during his loan spell in London, but is accepting a pay cut in order to be available for Valencia’s manager Cesare Prandelli.

Valencia and Juventus are now discussing the loan terms, yet it’s still unknown if the Spanish side will have a buying option over the player at the end of the season.

Prandelli’s side are reportedly wanting a clause that allow them to get the player for less than €20m in case he makes more than 10 appearances. They don’t want an obligatory buying clause as this could cause Financial Fair Play issues.

Valencia have also made clear they won’t be paying West Ham any money, even though the Hammers spent €5m to get the player on a one-year loan, which should be cut short next month.

With so many outlets reporting it, Zaza’s exit from the London Stadium only seems like a matter of time now.
