Manolo Gabbiadini is edging ever closer to a Napoli exit, and West Brom are now the favourites to land the Italian striker, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League ever since Everton failed to acquire his services late on in the summer transfer window, and his agent even revealed earlier this week his client’s destination would either Germany or England.
As has been explained multiple times, Aurelio De Laurentiis wants €25m for his striker, but the Italian newspaper reckon a bid of €20m + €2m in bonuses should be enough to convince Napoli to sell.
If that is the case, it shouldn’t take too much to strike a deal, as we can’t see the Baggies, clearly wanting what’s best for Tony Pulis, refusing to pay the extra €2m, especially since these would be bonuses and money not up front.
Furthermore, Gazzetta say West Brom would be prepared to offer the player a five-year contract worth £50k/week.
The fact Gabbiadini has scored a goal in each of his last three appearances has certainly made Napoli reconsider a few things, but if the right offer were to be placed in front of Aurelio De Laurentiis, there’s no doubt it would be accepted.
