As Inter Milan start their pre-season, the Italian media obviously gives big coverage to the signings they may make in the coming weeks. And Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku continues to be the main name on the list.

The striker has just left the Nerazzurri following the year-long loan spell he had there, and with the clubs engaging in talks for his return, there’s a big expectation he’ll be back there soon.

Inter Milan manager Inzaghi today had a chat with the local media. In quotes featured by Corriere Dello Sport, he talked about Lukaku, admitting that he’d like to get him signed from Chelsea soon.

“Today he’s a player from another team, we know what he represents for Inter and what he did. I fought so hard to bring him back here last season, we’d like to do it again and we’ll try to do our best,” said Inzaghi.

Lukaku doesn’t seem keen on staying at Chelsea, and on Wednesday morning, Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport claimed he doesn’t even want to join the club for their pre-season. It’s said to be clear the striker won’t play for the Blues next season.

Meanwhile, Corriere Dello Sport claimed the Blues gave the player five extra days off, and the negotiations with Inter Milan could be concluded in the meantime.
