On Friday, Dimitri Foulquier moved to Watford from Granada in a very uneventful transfer.
The Pozzo influence at both clubs means such moves slide through without a great deal of attention, other than ‘oh, that again’.
Foulquier perhaps raised an extra eyebrow or two among Watford’s support because right back isn’t really an area crying out for improvement in depth and there are other areas where signings are more needed.
Well, Foulquier won’t be around for long enough to see if he’s needed by Marco Silva, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
There’s no further mention of the details, and Foulquier’s switch would be a very quick turnaround for Watford, with it distinctly giving the impression the Frenchman was never going to be part of Silva’s plans anyway.
