Västerås SK manager Kalle Karlsson has thank Queens Park Rangers for a “great collaboration” on the loan deal for Elijah Dixon-Bonner.

Fotboll Direkt cover comments from the manager today as well as the QPR midfielder after he completed the move today.

They report that Västerås SK have completed a new acquisition in the form of the QPR midfielder, who is joining on loan until the end of the season.

The Swedish side have confirmed this in an official statement, with the loan running until July 1st. He joins them ahead of the 2025 Superettan, the second flight in Sweden, which is set to begin at the end of this month and runs until November.

The deal is seen as a big capture for Västerås SK and Karlsson wanted to thank QPR for helping to make it happen.

“We are happy to have been able to get this piece of the puzzle to strengthen our midfield,” he said.

“Elijah is a two-way player who can both win and distribute the ball. Hopefully he can quickly find his place in our system and become an important player in the spring. I would like to take this opportunity to thank QPR for a great collaboration.”

The move is the first outside of England for Dixon-Bonner, who started his career with Arsenal youth before moving to Liverpool and working his way up their youth ranks.

He then joined QPR on a free transfer in 2022 and has made 33 appearances for them to date but only six totalling 215 minutes this season.

Indeed, he has not been in their squad since January 21st and is excited about the opportunity to get regular minutes under his belt.

“Coming to VSK feels like a great opportunity for me to play football and hopefully contribute to the team’s success. I look forward to the spring with confidence,” he added.
