Roll back the clocks to last summer’s transfer window, and Ivan Perisic was a name that was everywhere.
The Croatian was linked with Manchester United repeatedly, with plenty of reports stating that Jose Mourinho had made him a priority signing.
That never happened, and Perisic remained at Inter Milan, making 45 appearances in total last season and scoring nine goals.
The Croatian’s stock is not as high as it was a year ago and CalcioMercato report that Inter Milan are looking to sell, this time for €25m. However, there were no serious bidders in Europe’s top five leagues, so Inter have had to look elsewhere.
There’s no mention of whether they’re interested, or if Perisic would want to move to Vicarage Road, but the Croatian does view the Premier League as a ‘dream’ move.
Calciomercato say Inter want a permanent sale and a loan move would be considered the ‘extreme’ option at this moment in time.
However, while they are certain Perisic is on the way out, Tuttomercatoweb are not so sure.
They believe Perisic has impressed Antonio Conte during pre-season and now a sale may not be on the cards.
TMW believe that Inter value Perisic at €30m and there has been no suitable bid; thus, he could remain in Milan, and that’s not something Conte would be bothered about.
