Manchester City full-back Yan Couto has just finished a loan spell in Portugal, and is already surrounded by rumours about his future.

First in a story from Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, it was claimed that Fenerbahce are interested in his signing.

Their new manager Jorge Jesus reportedly ‘liked’ what he saw from the player during his loan spell at Braga, and now made contact with Manchester City to know the possibility of a deal.

The Premier League side, however, are set to only take a decision on Couto’s future on the 20th of June, when the squad is showing up for pre-season.

However, it turns out that Braga won’t lose the player without a fight, because according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, the club are interested in having him on another loan.

The outlet claims Couto’s future is ‘in the hands of Pep Guardiola’, and even though Manchester City won’t keep him in their squad, there’s a chance he could be loaned to another English club.

So it sounds like both Braga and Fenerbahce now wait to see if they’ll at least get a chance to land the 20-year-old.
