Fanatik claim Everton have signed Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun for €25m and the transfer will become official in the coming hours.

Everton have been linked with the Turkey international in recent months, and in the past days have stepped up their pursuit of the player.

According to the Turkish newspaper, Besiktas president Fikret Orman met with Everton officials regarding Tosun, and subsequently both sides have reached an agreement.

Despite the quoted £27m in the English press, Fanatik say Besiktas will receive €25m for the striker and the player is expected to play against Tottenham on 13th of January. That’s been the figure most quoted in the Turkish media.

Fanatik also claim Besiktas president Fikret Orman demanded €30m from Everton but after a series of talks, accepted the €25m offer around 11pm last night

Tosun will became the most expensive transfer from the Turkish Super Lig if his move to Everton is confirmed in the coming days. The current record is held by Cengiz Under after his €15m move to AS Roma last summer.
