Announced on Monday evening, Arsenal’s signing of Jakub Kiwior was one few saw coming when news broke it was going to happen.
The Gunners outbid a lot of competition to sign the Pole in a deal believed to be of around €30m with bonuses included, which will happily fill Spezia’s bank accounts.
However, that isn’t the only money the Italian side will get from the deal, as their chief football office, Eduardo Macià, confirmed the club would also get more money from a future sale.
Speaking on Tuesday as he presented Salvatore Esposito, the Spaniard was asked about the Kiwior deal with Arsenal, which he was happy to comment on, but kept some of the details to himself.
He said, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb: “There’s a future resale percentage for Kiwior, but it’s confidential. I was lucky enough to work eight years in the Premier League. Arsenal are among the 10 most important teams in the world, in terms of management.
We’ll now have to wait and see how Kiwior does at Arsenal going forward, as he will have to fight for spaces with the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba to get a starting spot, but if he does fulfil his potential, there could be a nice slice of pie waiting for Spezia on the other side if the Gunners ever feel the need to sell.
