Tottenham ‘would be ready’ to pay €30m for Monaco full-back Vanderson, a figure that the Ligue 1 club would be unlikely to refuse.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who cover the situation around the Brazilian today and say the player’s future remains a ‘question’ that Monaco need to answer.
The newspaper follow up claims from earlier this week that Tottenham remain in the picture for Vanderson, having been linked over recent weeks.
Monaco are in no rush to sell as the player does have a contract until 2028, but that figure is one that President Dmitry Rybolovlev ‘rarely refuses’.
In other words, if Tottenham were to offer such an amount, it seems unlikely that Monaco would reject it. Thus, the question around the player’s future is yet to be answered.
It all seems to depend on Tottenham. They’ve expressed an interest and shown a willingness to pay for him but are yet to make any concrete moves for him.
Perhaps they are waiting to move, with the right-back position already well stocked with Pedro Porro and Djed Spence and the need for a €30m addition not desperate.
