According to a claim from Macedonia, Tottenham Hotspur are following Fenerbahce midfielder Eljif Elmas.
Skopje24 report Spurs are showing an interest in the youngster, but Real Madrid are leading the way for the player.
It’s claimed the Spanish giants are considering bidding €20m for Elmas, meaning the Premier League club will need to act quickly. The offer, it’s stated, is based on €5m upfront, and a further €15m if and when Elmas debuts for the club’s first team.
In previous windows Tottenham have been linked with young talent from the Super Lig with reports in the summer they were interested in Trazbonspor’s Yusuf Yazici.
Elmas has been a regular for Fenerbahce this season and despite the Istanbul club’s recent poor form the 19 year old has been one of their standout players.
The ‘Macedonian diamond’ joined Fenerbahce from his local club Rabotnicki at the start of last season and he’s made 21 appearances this season for the Turkish side.
