Stopped from getting the transfer to England he desired in January, it was openly stated by the Girondins de Bordeaux management Malcom would be getting a transfer in the summer.

How much for was up for debate, as the Ligue 1 side were allegedly asking the likes of Tottenham for around €60m, but that figure appears to have dropped for the summer transfer window.

Back in early April, France Football estimated Bordeaux would be willing to let him go for €40-50m, a figure which has now been confirmed by Girondinfos; the club’s equivalent of Paris United.

We’ve covered some of their stuff before, as the Twitter account was the subject of an article from Le Parisien when Bordeaux were trying to find out the owner’s identity due to the veracity of their information.

According to Girondinfos, Bordeaux have set a fixed price for the Brazilian forward; one which will please the likes of Tottenham: €45m.

It’s worth pointing out the Ligue 1 side aren’t exactly the richest club in France, so that amount represents a huge profit for a player they only spent around €6m on in the first place two years ago.

In today’s market, taking into account the Brazilian’s potential and the three years left on his current deal, €45m could be seen as a bargain, which we all know is music to Daniel Levy’s ears.

Less than two months ago, France’s RMC reported Mauricio Pochettino had made a personal telephone call to Malcom about a summer move.
