For the past few days, claims coming out Belgium have talked about Tottenham Hotspur’s desire to sign Club Brugge’s Antonio Nusa in the winter market.

Last weekend, Het Nieuwsblad reported Spurs aren’t the only club to have the winger on their radar.

Thursday’s Gazet van Antwerpen discusses Tottenham’s interest in the 18-year-old in a report that focuses on the business carried out by the Jupiler Pro League sides so far this month.

The Belgian clubs have raised €73m through sales so far and this is a record amount. The figure could go even higher if Nusa and Daniel Muñoz were to be sold to the north London club and Crystal Palace respectively.

With regards to the Norway international, it’s claimed there can still be ‘some movement’ as Ange Postecoglou’s side are keen on securing his services.

Nusa’s deal lasts until 2026 and the newspaper states Club Brugge want to collect €30m for him. This could come from Tottenham since the ‘negotiations are ongoing’ between the two clubs.

The player’s intention is to finish the season at Club Brugge. He could rejoin them on loan, if Spurs were to complete his signing in this window.

This is all backed up by Sacha Tavolieri, who provides an update on Thursday midday, as he explains that ‘talks are progressing’ between the two clubs, with the aim being getting the deal done this winter ‘for an arrival in the summer’.

Over on Brugge’s end, they are aiming for the ‘record’ of Charles de Ketelaere when it comes to the fee, who was sold to AC Milan for €36m bonuses included.

Nusa has made 27 appearances this season, managing four goals and three assists in the process.
