Friday morning hasn’t been great for Tottenham Hotspur, at least when it comes to transfers.

News came from Portugal of Liverpool agreeing a fee to sign Luis Diaz from FC Porto, and the Colombia international agreeing to a Reds move.

Spurs had made attempts for the attacker earlier this week, however, their initial offer wasn’t enough, and Diaz himself was presented as waiting for a club higher up the table.

Meanwhile, Friday’s edition of L’Equipe reported a PSG move for Tanguy Ndombele has hit the rocks. That’s partly down to the player’s big salary, which the French newspaper put at €200k a week, and partly because the Ligue 1 club aren’t entirely convinced about the deal.

They know they’ll have a chance to sign Paul Pogba on a free transfer in the summer, and don’t want to tie themselves to another player and potentially block that deal.

There’s a possibility things could be sorted out, but, as L’Equipe made clear, time is running out.

Over in Italy, TMW report that Tottenham’s offer for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat is on the table.

Spurs would pay a €1.5m loan fee, with a buying option set at €15m. Negotiations are ongoing, although it’s also stated Antonio Conte’s side ‘first wait to free Tanguy Ndombele’.
