Tottenham youngster Destiny Udogie is “proving to be a true professional” while on loan at Udinese this season.

That’s according to his agent Stefano Antonelli, who says concerns that the youngster would be distracted by his move to Tottenham have proven to be unfounded.

Udogie joined Tottenham in an €18m deal from Udinese in August, with Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici moving quickly to secure his signature ahead of potential competition.

Rather than putting him in Spurs’ squad this season, they elected to leave him on loan with the Italian side to get regular game time and continue his development.

He has certainly been doing that, making 11 appearances in Serie A so far, scoring twice and registering one assist.

So far, he has managed to play in 71% of the available minutes in the league and will only add will only add to that if he can avoid injuries in the second half of the campaign.

His loan spell has been a massive success to date, but his agent insists the player deserves credit for that being the case.

“Many thought he would be distracted by Tottenham, but the player is proving to be a true professional and is doing very well,” he told Sport Italia.

“He is at a club, Udinese, that has given him so much: he will continue to do well.”
